Mazda has used different key systems as its model range has evolved. The year and model of your Mazda tells us which key type you need.

Older Mazdas often use a basic transponder key, a metal key with a chip that is programmed to the immobiliser.
Many Mazda 2 and 3 models from the mid-era use a remote key or flip key, where the remote and transponder are coded together.
